Schematic and Pcb does not load anymore

After I updated to the latest version, I cannot load Schematic or Pcb software. It gets stuck at the splash screen. The Component Editor and Parts Editor does load.
I uninstalled and turned the antivirus (Windows Defender) off and reinstalled as Administrator. This made no difference. I also ran the Default.reg and also still no go.

I am running the free version but I want to upgrade next month. I am however not to comfortable to do so if I am going to have this kind of thing that stops me from getting work done. It's fine for hobby work but not so good if you take on commercial work.

Please assist in getting this sorted out.

Try temporarily rename the Data Unicode folder in `C:\ProgramData\DipTrace`.
It also contains the program settings.
After that, run the program. If the problem persists, rename the folder back.
Also try running Schematics and PCB Layout as an administrator.

I tried all your suggestions but unfortunately there was no change.
I started the schematic program as admin. It got stuck at the splash screen and I left it there. After 15 minutes it started the schematic program.

What operating system are you using?
When Schematics starts, try changing Graphics Mode in the main menu View, then restart Schematics.

Latest Windows 11 on a HP Pavillion
I tried all the modes and no change still.

Besides the antivirus, also try disabling the firewall.
If you installed the 64-bit version of DipTrace, try installing the 32-bit version instead.

Looks like a Windows 11 issue. Try turning off firewall and install the 32-bit version. Splash screen hang is common with the 64-bit build.

The same thing is happening with the 32bit version. I have been using the software for a long time without issues. The last time this happened the registry program fixed the problem. Now it does not and this just started after the December 2nd update. I am getting a bit desperate now.
I tried all the options that was suggested above. I only have Windows Defender as antivirus and firewall. I already uninstalled paid version of McAfee jus in case that was an issue.

It took 10 minutes to load the 32bit version. However, the graphics are terrible and it will be very difficult to work like that.
Is the paid version going to have the same issues or is this just with the free version?

The free version works the same as the paid one; there is no difference.
