Need to edit panelization - can it be done?

#1 Post by orbeet » 15 Jan 2026, 01:42

Hi,

I have used the panelization tool to duplicate my board in an array (4 x 6) using v-scoring. It works out nicely except that there's one area that's not milled out next to my USB connector. The problem is that the USB connector has lip facing down which will lie lower than the PCB and since that area is not milled out, the factory is not allowing this.

See this image showing the area that I want to mill out but currently has material fill.

My question is whether I can edit a panelized board. I need to mill out this area between the USB connector and the adjacent board.

Thanks,
Oscar

There is no option in panelization for this kind of editing. As a workaround, you can try placing a Board Cutout shape in the area where you need the material to be milled out.

Hi Serg,

Thank you for this suggestion. I wonder if it will override the current filled area. Which one will fab look at?
