Braille Libraries

This is a schematic and pattern/footprint library I did some time ago for a client developing a product for blind and partially sighted users.

The Braille-dot footprints, and their corresponding silkscreen boxes exactly correspond to the size and spacing of standard Braille.
If the silkscreens exactly overlap edge-of-one-cell to edge-of-next-cell then the character spacing (horizontally and vertically) is exactly correct.

This is a simplified subset of UK Braille - not including mathematical symbols etc.
For proper readability by touch, the height of solder reflowed onto the dots needs to be 0.5 ± 0.1 mm.

Note: this is standard UK Braille (there are variations between Braille systems around the world)
