STP Internal View

#1 Post by Zebryk » 20 Apr 2023, 11:14

Hello,

I designed a PCB with SMA connectors on opposite PCB sides connected by vias.
I would like to be able to show an zoomed "X-Ray" view of these in the 3D Viewer showing these Vias.
(Then I could grab a screen capture to share with my client.)
However, they are virtually invisible and the color of the board makes little difference.
It should look like a forest of trees trunks from the Bottom side to the Top side.
In other softwares, they look like roman columns.
(In the attached, Zoom into the SMAs back to back.)

Saving this to a STP file does not help much when viewed by ABviewer or Edrawings.

Any suggestions?

To improve the visibility of the vias in the 3D Viewer and achieve the desired "X-Ray" effect, you can try adjust the transparency. Some PCB design software allows you to adjust the transparency or opacity of different components in the 3D Viewer. You can try reducing the opacity of the PCB layers or other components to make the vias more visible.
