3D Preview hangs on "Loading Models" (v5.2 64-bit)

#1 Post by 1v1lolonline » 02 Feb 2026, 03:02

Hi everyone,
I’ve run into a recurring issue with the 3D Preview in the latest 5.2 build (64-bit, Windows 11).
On a specific project I just updated from v4.3, the 3D Preview gets stuck at "Loading Models... 95%" and the entire program becomes unresponsive. I have to kill it through Task Manager.
I’ve tried the following to troubleshoot:
Switched from OpenGL to GDI mode in 3D settings.
Removed all custom STEP models to see if it was a library issue.
Cleared the 3D cache.
Even with just standard patterns, it still hangs. It worked fine in the older version, so I'm wondering if something changed in how 5.2 handles the 3D environment or the board outline.
Is this a known bug in the 5.2 release, or is there a specific project setting that might be causing this hang?
Thanks for any advice!

Thank you for your report. At this stage, the issue is difficult to reproduce, as it may be affected by multiple factors. To proceed with the investigation, we kindly ask you to provide the following information: a project in which the issue occurs regularly (including all custom 3D models), and your video card specifications.
