Hello,
I have tried to order PCBs via "Order PCB..." drop down tool and the routine constantly times out with the message:
"Server connection time out or system error. Please check your internet connection and try again. If that doesn't help, please contact software developer with error code: (code DipOrder_05)"
There is nothing wrong with my internet connection since i can access this forum and many other locations.
My company uses a restrictive firewall that prevents access to URLs that it does not recognize. I think that the "PCN Order... " tool is trying to access a database located at a URL that is being blocks. I found no log file in the DipTrace app folder so i can't tell what URL the tool is trying to access. If i have that URL i can have our IT whitelist the URL in our firewall.
I am running v4.0.0.3 64bit.
thanks

Re: Problem ordering PCB - Error code DipOrder_05
Please add to whitelist orderpcb.diptrace.com and my.pcbcreator.com in firewall settings.
Also make sure libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll exist in C:\Program Files\DipTrace\converter64\ folder.

Re: Problem ordering PCB - Error code DipOrder_05
Thanks Alex. One of the two URLs you listed were not white-listed so I had IT add it to the firewall profile. I can now access the two sites from a browser, but still DipTrace Order PCB fails with error code DipOrder_05. I have verified that the two DLLs you mentioned are in the correct folder.
Any other ideas?
Is there a debug mode, or something, that will create a log telling me what URLs are failing or timing out?
Regards,
bill

Could you try to order PCB from different machine? Just to exclude specific issues related to current machine. By the way, what operation system is on your machine?
There is no debug mode in DipTrace.

It seems like your company's firewall might be blocking the URL the "Order PCB" tool is trying to access, causing the connection timeout error. Unfortunately, the DipTrace app itself doesn't always log the URLs it's accessing, and finding out exactly which URL is being blocked can be tricky without that information.BillM wrote: ↑08 Jul 2020, 18:49 Hello,

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:
Check with IT: Your IT team may be able to identify the URLs being accessed by the DipTrace application via the firewall logs or network monitoring tools. Provide them with the error code "DipOrder_05" as a starting point.
DipTrace Support: Since the "Order PCB" functionality is likely integrated with a third-party service for ordering PCBs, you could reach out to DipTrace support. They should be able to provide you with the specific URLs or endpoints the software is trying to access during the ordering process. This will allow your IT team to whitelist those URLs.
Proxy Settings: If your company uses a proxy server for internet access, make sure that DipTrace is configured correctly to use the proxy. Check DipTrace’s network settings (if available) or configure the proxy settings in your computer's network preferences.
Test Outside the Firewall: If possible, try accessing the "Order PCB" tool from a machine outside the company’s firewall or on a network with fewer restrictions. This can help confirm if the issue is indeed due to the firewall.
Check for Updates: Ensure that you're using the latest version of DipTrace, as updates may address bugs or compatibility issues related to the ordering process.
If none of the above steps work, contacting DipTrace support directly with your error code and the details of your firewall restrictions would be the best option for getting a more tailored solution.
