Different Approaches to PCB Separation
When there are overhangs on the upper edge of a PCB but not on the other three, I'm searching for other ways to split it into sections. I have only two options in the Tools/Panelizing feature: tab routing and V-scoring. Is there an other strategy or workaround available for this particular case? I would be grateful for any recommendations!
Re: Different Approaches to PCB Separation
If the overhangs are small, you can still use Tab Routing in panelizing but increase spacing between rows (Tools -> Panelizing -> "Board to Board" and "Board to Edge Rail" Spacing -> Rows).
If the overhangs are too big (I guess these are silkscreen or other non-signal shapes within components) you can edit the patterns in Pattern Editor and update (replace) them on the board.

Re: Different Approaches to PCB Separation
hiiii,
The fiducials and alignment holes may be automatically repeated on each part of the panel when you create the PCB. To avoid thisdrift boss, right-click on the fiducials and alignment holes in your design software, then select the option to not duplicate or not panelize them. This will keep them appearing only once on the panel rails without being repeated on each individual PCB.
Regard,
