What is the standard formula to calculate PCB Fabrication cost? How PCB cost calculator calculates the cost by adding value for Board Quantity, Board Size, Thickness, Layers, Copper weight, Solder Mask Color, Routing, Impedance Control, Ship to and Boards arrival time.

There's no stadard formula to calculate the PCB manufacturing cost as PCB Fab Houses set price based in different criterion. Also, the payoff are already added within the PCB manufacturing price you calculated using their online PCB Price Calculators. That's why your exact same PCB manufacturing order quoted different from different PCB Manufacturers.

In case you're interested, you can get PCB manufacturing price from multiple PCB Fab House on PCBShopper.com. Simply fill in some basic spec of your board, it shows rough circuit boards fabrication fee, shipping date and the shipping fee within seconds.

There is no standard way to calculate a PCB cost. Each board house has its prices.

If you want to compare all boards house at once, use pcbshopper.com.

I found that chinese Smart Prototyping works well, cheap and fast.

just send your PCB design to FAB house and fill up some form
then they will send you the quotation of your PCB.

All PCB Manufacture have their own formula to calculate the cost.
Maybe a standard way to calculate is (area) * (number of layers/2) * (Other multiplyers) + setup cost or may be fixed cost.
This is only a rough idea.

I think jean_howard said very well, each vendor's calculation should be roughly the same, but there will be a little difference. (It should be cost.)

I think you got some useful responses. The question is very generic because, cost of pcb fabrication formula is not a defined formula for all companies it depends on the company's manufacturing processes and procedures.
