Relative paths don't work as a 3D model directory path

#1 Post by dtu2 » 24 Nov 2012, 23:21

Sorry about possible double posting (this post was a reply to another bug report and I just didn't know if you would read it or miss it so I decided to post it under it's own topic):

I don't know if this is bug???

Relative paths don't work as a 3D model directory path.

Please include the option to specify the path not only with environment variables but also the ability to search from the "current" directory.

Search path example: ".\" or maybe ".\my current project 3d model subdirectory\" etc.

This will allow each project to have a unique location for it's own 3d models based off the current directory where the .dip file is located, thus allowing unique 3d model directories for each project. It would make moving and sharing projects much more flexible without having to go into the dip file and re-link the models for the .dip file back to some fixed and un-flexible central 3d model repository location.

Thanks for considering this... it certainly would make things sooo much easier.

(Again, sorry about the double post  )

No, relative paths are not supported. Thank you for the suggestion to include this option in future.
