Back annotation defaults marking locations

#1 Post by Exality » 05 Jun 2020, 11:55

I just did a back annotation in 4.0.0.2 yesterday, and all my careful placement and rotation of part markings in the schematic has been wiped out. Markings are restored to their default positions.

Thank you for the report but we can't reproduce the issue. Could you send schematic file (with manually placed markings, if possible) and board file for verification either on the forum or to support at diptrace dot com.

We seem to reproduce the problem but your files are still welcomed as they will help to confirm and debug the issue.

Thanks, Alex. I'm not getting notifications of forum responses for some reason so I didn't see yours till now. I don't have before/after schematic or layout files right now but if I see the problem again I'll send them.

This problem doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it's a mess. I'm working on just a single sheet schematic right now, and it takes 15-20 minutes to restore the marking locations and orientations when they get clobbered. I pity someone with a big project. I hope you can fix this and issue a minor release soon.
