DipTrace's implementation of net ports is confusing, potentially dangerous and incomplete. The following is a list of characteristics I think DipTrace net ports should exhibit...
1) A net port should never link its library name to the connection.
2) A net port should never force a connection change on a net. The net name of the wire is what should drive interconnectivity.
3) A net port should automatically display the name of the net to which it is connected, unless a different display option has been selected in its context menu.
4) A net port should automatically expand the underline/bubble/box to accommodate the length of the displayed text.
