For a single pad, you could simply draw a filled shape in the signal layer over a smaller pad.

The properties of pads offer a lot of flexibilty in pad properties including defining points of the typical pad.

Create polygonal pad in that case, you can do it in two ways:
1. Right click on a pad, select "Properties", unselect "Default for pattern" in necessary, change shape to "Polygon" and click on "Points" button. Specify shape sides or points here, click OK to apply changes.
2. Select "Polygon" tool on drawing panel and create shape on design area. Right clik on polygon outline and select "Properties", change type to "Top" (or "Bottom") in appeared window. Click Ok, right click on shape outline again and select "Convert to pad" in submenu.
