DXF import and convert to pad issues

#1 Post by dan_movie » 15 Mar 2019, 15:36

Hi All,

My very 1st post !!

After reading some threads here I need help figuring out what I am doing wrong.

I used CorelDraw to create a pad I want to use for carbon "pill buttons". I saved it in DXF.
Imported from the pattern editor. Used "Top Signal" layer.
I can see my shape but it is NOT filled, I just have the outline, also when I right click I do not have the context menu that says "Convert to Pad".

If I try to import as a pad the "connector pins" are place in the center of the pattern and cause all kinds of issues when i try to manually put a copper trace.

Is there a way to move the "pin placement" to the edge of a shape in pattern editor ? Or can someone suggest why I can't covert to pad (or just fill my shape like a copper trace).

I have attached the DXF file.

Thanks

I can see why he would have a problem with this attached dxf file.
