Minimum pin length?

#1 Post by clarkleach » 28 Feb 2019, 11:56

I would like to create a "component" which is simply a single pad for connecting wire to an external component. My initial idea was to insert a single pin with length of zero. Nope, that doesn't work; apparently if I set the length less than about 0.004" it reverts to the default 0.015" and shifts the pin about 0.300" to the left. I guess I could live with a tiny bit of line buried in the symbol; it probably won't be noticeable. But, is there a better way to accomplish this? Is this a bug?

In the standard component library there is a port component, copy it to a working library, select the pin properties, set length to 0.015 (add a 0 after the decimal point), move the pin to the shape, save it and name it and add a pattern to it. Tested with
