Creating a PCB Antenna with Multiple Pads

#1 Post by Pauldo » 27 Feb 2018, 15:02

I am trying to create a 915MHz antenna based on the reference designs here: https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application ... N11180.pdf

The picture below shows my layout. I created a single filled polygon in the Top layer, along with two small pads at the tip, which are marked in blue.

My problem is that once I use this antenna in the PCB Layout editor, I get DRC errors from the pads touching the copper polygon. Is there a better way to implement this sort of antenna that will not require me to ignore or suppress the DRC errors?
