Scaling issues in components and stp files?

#1 Post by LeFish » 28 Nov 2017, 14:43

Hi there,

i built the two attached files entirely with Diptrace. I cannot attach .stp files, thus i attached the .dip file.

When trying to import the generated STP file into Pattern Editor as a 3-D model, it seems that the scale of the axis (-> larger extending in the Y axis, thus better visible) is not the same for the two files.

Is it me or is the scaling incorrect?

Thanks!

Best regards,
LeFish

According to Solidworks 2016, after importing the STP file the y-length of the pcb is 59mm, which is correct. Despite, Diptrace shows the openingly stated lateral misscaling. Please see the attachments.

There is no problem with scale. You can add Z shift equal to board thickness. This is up 3D model to level of the pattern. Then you can preview 3D model from different points of view to make sure pattern size and model size are equal.
