2 pads for one pin

#1 Post by david » 05 Nov 2017, 17:41

Hi,

I am new to pcb design, to the tool and to the forum so my question maybe very simple.

Is there a way to assign 2 pads to a single pin? In my case I need to split the pad into 2 parts (for better, more even soldering) and wanted to assign the same pin to the 2 pads. But seems like in the "attached pattern" window it allows the pin to connect only to a single pad. Is there a workaround to assign 2 pads to a single pin?

Thanks,
David

In the Attached Pattern dialog window, drag a line from the connected pad to the unconnected pad, select OK and resave the custom library.
