Save component from PCB imported from Eagle

#1 Post by infinitemach » 21 Sep 2022, 16:03

I have a board I am working on that was imported from an Eagle project. I need to edit the pattern for the part, so I saved the pattern to a library and made the changes I need. Now I want to apply the pattern change to the component. Since I can just update the part on the PCB with a new pattern, I need to somehow save the component to a file, so I can update it with the changed pattern.

How do I save a component to a file from a PCB? The "Save to Library" seems to only save the pattern, not the whole component.

You can select "Project Libraries -> Design Cache" then "Library -> Save Design Cache as Library". It saves *.eli file, i.e. component library with all components on the board.
