Hello,
let's say i order boards with ENIG gold surface finish made in diptrace, i put a square shape that's a "signal" type and then put some text in the top mask layer on top of this square.
Once it's manufactured, the text will look gold because of the enig finish?
What's the difference between a shape that is a "signal type" and a standard trace?
Signal type vs Ground pour
Re: Signal type vs Ground pour
You can see on 3D preview how the board will look. Change color of copper (pads /traces) from grey to gold to see more realistic colors for ENIG surface finish.
A shape on signal layer and a trace are similar. The shape is more constant, the trace is easier to edit.
