Schematic Print thickness is thin !

#1 Post by clickshe » 21 Mar 2017, 12:13

I tried to print schematics, but the thickness is very thin !
Yes, I know that i can increase the thickness from View/Line Width, but if I increase from there:
1 - the component symbols will remain thin
2- the line width will be fat.

Do not tell me that I have to change the thickness to all symbols, because it would be absurd !
Comparing the DipTrace prints with those made with other similar software, those of DipTrace
have a very ugly appearance, and, above all, they are very difficult to read in detail.

Is there a solution that I missed?
Thank you for reading.

Schematic Print thickness is too thin!

#2 Post by AO2001 » 16 May 2020, 05:33

My first Schematic print came out with hair-thin lines. It was useless, then after checking the menus I figured out the solution:

Load the schematics file

select all; CTRL-A

use the menu bar; Objects>Drawing Properties>Line Width>
here, a size is seen in the box. It was 0.12 in my drawing (too thin!!!). I changed it to 0.33 and hit enter.
then I printed the schematic using printer features (Inkjet printer!):
black ink only
best quality
and the results were very good.

The procedure can be modified; objects selected, different line thicknesses, printer settings etc.

The post was from 2017 and hopefully the problem has been solved already.
