RAM Selection for PC Build

#1 Post by kimi » 29 Sep 2021, 22:24

Budget (including currency): $6000
Country: USA
Used for: games, programs, or workloads

I'm building a computer and I don't want to overclock my RAM because I won't need to for years based on the PC specs I'm creating. With that in mind, my question is which set of RAM should I buy.

Option 1 : G.Skill Ripjaws 4000 MHZ CL14-15-15-35 (16GBX4=64GB)
Option 2 : G.Skill Ripjaws 3200 MHZ CL14-18-18-38 (32GBX4=128 GB)

To avoid future questions my build is the following

Core i9-11900K Rocket Lake 3.5GHz Eight-Core LGA 1200
Black SN850 2TB M.2 NVMe Interface PCIe Gen 4x4 Internal Solid State Drive with 3D TLC NAND
NVIDIA EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming Triple-Fan 12GB GDDR6X PCIe 4.0 Graphics Card
Z590 AORUS Xtreme Intel LGA 1200 ATX Motherboard
Obsidian 500D RGB SE Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower Computer Case
EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G+, 80+ Gold 1300W Fully Modular Power Supply
H150i Pro XT 360mm RGB Water Cooling Kit
