Thermals

#1 Post by J Edgecombe » 07 Jul 2021, 19:34

Hi All, There is something I'm missing re placing thermals. I place a pad (round, 2mm x 2mm, 0.4mm hole) on copper pour, then connect it. Then enter 'thermal settings' and check 'Custom Settings'. Set for '4 spoke 45' and width of 0.7. When I update the pour The pad is blocking the thermal. If I Right click and select 'Hide Pad Ring in Layer', the thermal is exposed. However if I do a pour update, the thermal disappears and I'm left with just a 'hole on the pour'. There must be some way to expose the thermal permanently.

Please check clearance in copper pour settings. It looks like the value is very small and the pour touches to pad without thermal.
