Inner layers disappeared after Gerber export

#1 Post by david » 12 Nov 2017, 20:47

Hi,

I designed a 4-layer PCB and exported Gerbers, NC drill, BOM and pick and place files. However, when I re-opened DipTrace Layout, my design had only Top and Bottom (default) layers. The inner layers disappeared. Also, the name of the top/bottom layers changed. I used to have L1/L2/L3/L4 and now it shows only Top/Bottom. Has anyone experienced this type of problem?

Thanks,
David

The bottom layer looks similar to my previous L2. I am trying to add the other two missing layers (L3, L4), however the tool thinks that the current bottom layer (which was L2 previously) should always be in the bottom. It doesn't allow me to transform it into the second layer. Please advise.

Thanks,
David

Try to perform the action from main menu File - Recover Board.
What is the DipTrace version do you use?
Please, send ".dip", gerber and nc drill files to us. We need to explore them.
