Panelizing: How to specify V-score or tab-route?
When panelizing in Diptrace, how do I specify v-score or tab-route? Do I need spacing between the PCBs for v-score? I assume so for tab-route.
Re: Panelizing: How to specify V-score or tab-route?
Please open "Route -> Layer Setup", go to "Non-Signal" tab and add one custom layer. Name it as you want, for example "v-scoring". Close layer setup.
On drawing panel, find and select new layer from drop-down box. Choose shape type (line, polyline, etc.) and draw new shape on design area.
Finally, right click on the shape and select "Do not panelize" from submenu.
Export v-scores to separate Gerber file and include to other Gerber files.
I think you don't need extra space between board outlines and v-score if there is no copper objects too close to board outlines.

Great, thanks!

I am an engineer of PCB manufacturer ( visit http://www.joga-pcba.com ) ,
usually we made V-score with 0 spacing ,fur tab-route , you'd better give 1.5 or 2mm spacing + Tabs & stamp holes.
Thx!

Re: Panelizing: How to specify V-score or tab-route?
I used to specify the V-score based on the depth of the score and from the cross-sectional view. There is a standard way to specify v-score is dividing each measurement equally, 1/3rd cut on top and 1/3rd cut on the bottom, leaving 1/3rd web in the middle.

This is a great post! My first try at a panel came off with one minor issue; After placing fiducials around the board of my panel when I tried to mark them as 'Do Not Panelize' I would mouse over the pad and right click but the menu only has 10 items and Do Not Panelize is not one of those items. After Reading the Help, watching the video and visiting this forum I still had not found a means to get the right click to show me the Do Not Panelize option. By accident I zoomed way out and right clicked, the 22 item menu appeared with Do Not Panelize! My PCB is 15mm X 10mm a panel of 100 is 10cm X 10cm.

Re: Panelizing: How to specify V-score or tab-route?
Struggling since this morning. I very much regret not finding any example of v-scoring with Diptrace on internet to combine multiple designs into a single panel.
Is it now instead "board cutout" layer?
Is it possible to have more than 1 copper pour on top and more than 1 on bottom?
Here the software freezes as soon as I paste my 2 different designs to combine in one single file.
I guess something changed since 2014 as I can't find this "Do not panelize" by right-clicking, no matter how much time I spent on this.

The thing is, you have to select the object your trying to no panelize:
As far as having different designs, I can't afford it so I don't do it and I have never tried it with DipTrace. I can get 10 PCB's for $2 but the minute I add two different designs the price goes to $22Re: Panelizing: How to specify V-score or tab-route?
There's no "Do not panelize" in any right-click on any element I select.
If I make a pad like in your example, this is what I see: https://postimg.cc/3kcxBfSd
Re: Panelizing: How to specify V-score or tab-route?
I think I know what is wrong, if I take a PCB I want to panelize and add a pad then right click it I get what you are getting:
Delete the pad and Click Edit/Panelizing... from the top menu bar:
You should see the panelizing Window, setup your panel and click OK:
Now you can add the Mounting holes (notice I said Mounting Holes?), spacing and Fiducial according to the PCB house requirements:
