Re: Can someone help design a PCB for this schematic

Post an image of your best attempt at that circuit. There are several folks here that can offer helpful advice.

Re: Copy and paste quits working

Would it be possible to upload the offending schematic (.dch file) or a redacted portion of it? I can see if the problem is reproducible on my system. Have you tried using the keyboard shortcuts (CTRL-C, CTRL-V)? I remember a past issue someone was having that required that their anti-virus needed t...

Re: Blurred image in Schematic

I have the same issue with TrueType fonts using DirectX or OpenGL in the Schematic Editor. On my computer, vector text is not blurry in either of those modes. Typically, I use TrueType fonts on my schematics (Consolas) and use the Windows GDI graphics mode. However, I don't experience a noticeable s...

Re: Basic Editing to shapes and pads

To get a pad with a chamfered corner use the polygon shape drawing tool to place the filled geometry you need, right click on the outline, select "Properties..." and change the Type to "Top". Next, right click on the outline once again and select "Convert to Pad". For silkscreen, instead of drawing ...

Re: 3D render - and file export

Please provide orthographic camera mode -- the perspective camera distorts captured images of boards. Accurate texture maps are required for materials in other 3D programs. I've previously asked for orthographic views in the 3d viewer and pattern editor STEP pattern import for the same reasons stat...

Re: Selecting correct resistor pad

For 1/4W thru-hole resistors I use this footprint: RESISTOR_FOOTPRINT_25W.jpg 10mm lead spacing, 1.8mm pad diameter, .8mm hole diameter. Though it doesn't show up very well, the origin of the part is in the center of the body of the resistor. My parts are hand inserted. If thru-hole parts are going ...

Re: Sending 274 Gerber Files to manufacturer

Zip all of the Gerber files for your project into one zip file and email that file. You didn't mention which manufacturer you use but all of the ones I've tried will accept a zip file. The drag and drop function on the website may be looking for a .zip or .rar file extension. Zip is the most common ...

Re: Creating multi line text with edit and format control

I'm not sure I understand what you're referring to when you state "there are no multi-key strokes for using the arrow keys" so I may not be answering the right question. Text in a table cell can be edited by clicking once in the cell then once in the text box in the window that opens: cell_propertie...

Re: Copy and paste between different schematics or PCB layouts

I copy between schematics frequently. However, I haven't had to use the launcher. I just start another instance of the Schematic Editor from the Windows start menu. The PCB Editor will behave the same way.
