Re: Can I denote a track as 'sacrificial' on the circuit?

Thanks, that worked well! Very sneaky.

And interestingly, no DRC errors.

Can I denote a track as 'sacrificial' on the circuit?

Hi All, The circuit and board I'm working on has provision for an optional changeover relay. It won't be used in a lot of builds, so I am proposing adding what I'm calling a 'sacrifical' track between the Common and NC pins so the board functions by default, without needing links to stand in for the...

Re: Adding increased pour clearance around one HV net/trace

Hooray! Thanks Tom, it's fixed! Your change worked on my test PCB, so I opened a Word document and scraped all of the possible settings from the dummy board, then gradually went through and compared them until I found it - an excessive clearance to copper I'd entered for the Default Net Class / Clea...

Re: Adding increased pour clearance around one HV net/trace

Hi Tom, AHA! I've been using the "insert image" button in the toolbar above the text box! I see it now (but no way I would have found it without your details). Here's a dummy circuit and board I've just created, which still manifests the same problem when I enable "use net clearance" : DipTrace-Craz...

Re: Adding increased pour clearance around one HV net/trace

Thanks Tom, I've enabled 'use net clearance' and set a clearance of 0.33mm for the Default Net Class (which is the default value for my pour) and 1.5mm for the new Net Class. Something else is taking over now. Now I get crazy clearance all over the board and no pour of which to speak. (This image is...

Re: Adding increased pour clearance around one HV net/trace

Hi Tom, Thanks for the reply. I've just repeated my test with your settings and the end result is no different. I went with a 4mm clearance in this screen-capture purely to exaggerate the fact that it's not making any difference. Apologies that the forum tells me "It was not possible to determine th...

Adding increased pour clearance around one HV net/trace

Hi All, I'm quite new to DipTrace but having fun thus far. I'm designing a double-sided through-hole board with +12V and Gnd copper pours. The board has a 100V trace that I want to add some extra clearance around. I've found out how to do this with net classes and class-to-class, but I'm at a loss f...
