Re: Rendering Extremely Slow [Ubuntu 20.04]

If you happen to have this problem, it was solved by using the Nvidia graphics drivers instead of Intel... but that can cause a whole slew of other problems :)

Good luck with that.

Rendering Extremely Slow [Ubuntu 20.04]

Hi, I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 20.04. I dual boot Windows, which is where I do most of my work with DipTrace. I use my Ubuntu 20.04 partition to do firmware development for boards I design using DipTrace... So sometimes it is useful to be able to open my DipTrace designs while developing firmware...

Invalid Floating Point Operation - Curve

I was in the middle of drawing a partial curve in the Component Editor (version 4.0.0.5). I tried changing the direction of the curve by dragging the apex through the center of the curve. It turned into a small dot and an error pop-up happened stating "Invalid Floating Point Operation!" See attached...

Cap and Res Naming Convention?

Hi all, Working with DipTrace 4.0 new libraries. I noticed each discrete chip cap/resistor size has several footprints available. They seem to vary in tolerance size (larger footprint for more tolerance on component placement). An example of the naming scheme: A 1206 capacitor has the following foot...

Re: route in mirror error

Confirmed this issue myself -- seems to be a regression.

Re: DipTrace 4.0 Release

I noticed that all the patterns in the official DipTrace "Res Chip Inch" and "Res Chip Metric" pattern sections have an incorrect reference designator - "C" instead of "R"

Probably a simple copy paste error...

Re: DipTrace 4.0 Release

I noticed the following bug while in PCB Editor: Right click on a SMD pad and change the type to Through-Hole. The window will expand to show additional through-hole options but the "Hole" settings will be grayed out and unselectable. When you click "OK" and reopen the dialog the problem is gone. Yo...

Ability to use 3D files from multiple directories

I often get parts from SamacSys/Mouser and like to keep those custom parts and 3D models separate from those I make myself. DipTrace often "forgets" where to find 3D files if I place them in multiple different directories. The only solution I have found so far to mitigate this has been to just place...

Precise spacing parameter is not retained between uses

One small bug I've been experiencing in 3.3.1.3 is that when designing a footprint, for example, I often use the "Objects->Precise Pad Placement..." dialog to place the pads (obviously). Sometimes, if I mess up origin or something, I will reopen the window, fix the problem, and click "OK" and to my ...
