Let me post a message to maintain the request active, since Diptrace 5.0.0.0 doesn't implement this function.
I hope it will be implemented not in Ver.6 but sometime shortly.

Re: Arrange Components by Proximity In Schematic
I would like to support this idea. It may not need to be fully automatic, but we can draw some region (like square or polygon kinds closed shape) in schematic to indicate the components within the region should be located closely or in group. I really like Diptrace simplicity and light weight behavi...

Re: Placing VIA on pad
Hi Tomg, Thank you for your comments. Actually it is good idea that place via at somewhere then bind them to GND net. So that I can see which is GND pad during moving the via. It can't see during grabbing the via, but just need to release it. It is much better than every time exit from via mode. It ...

Placing VIA on pad
Hi there, Let me ask a question regarding to place a via on pad. Like a FPGA, due to the fine pad pitch, pad on via is used. So, I like to place vias on all GND pad. It is easy to identify witch is GND pad in PCB editor, just mouse over a GND pad, like this, GND_PAD.jpg But once I enter to via placi...

Check all/Uncheck all (PCB Layout object selection)
I'm not sure if it has been already requested, but if there's Check All/Uncheck All for the object selection, it would be very helpful. (Is there any way to do that?) Sometimes I would like to select only one object (Like Board outline) to avoid unintentional operation for other objects, but it is r...

Re: Find right pattern for PVG5A potentiometer
I'm not sure if it is supposed to be, but anyway I can find a solution now. In my environment (DipTrace 4.1.3.0), now I can find two PVG5A104C03 in ComponentEditor. One is in "Potentiometers" group and the other in "Potentiometers Trimmers SMD" group. The first one uses "PVG...

Re: Find right pattern for PVG5A potentiometer
Hi Tom,
Thank you for the information.
I also use TipTrace 4.1.3.0. But it seems something wrong.
See below screen (PVG5A104C03 in ComponentEditor). You can see it's PVG5A and not MURATA_PVG5A.
I'll try to re-install Diptrace and see if it is fixed.
