Re: Is DipTrace also sold OTC on disk(s)?

Thank you, I'll look into all options listed.
I made a printout of the "Online Store" web-page, so that I can discuss available options with my bank.

Is DipTrace also sold OTC on disk(s)?

Hi. I'm currently using the demo version, limited to 300 nodes. Looking into buying the full licensed version, but see only online options, using credit-card. As I only use a debit card, my idea is to search our electronic / computer / engineering outlets for Novarm's DipTrace. Is there a worldwide ...

How to upload files to the forum?

If I want to add an image, say JPG / PNG / GIF, or submit a DXF etc, which icon do I use for "upload" ?
The only option I saw was url link.
Thanks, Clive.

Re: How to make a panelized board with cutout tabs?

I haven't tried this personally, but you can try first panelize to required qty of columns / rows, or copy paste-move-paste..
If original board outline also pastes, remove these then use one outline to surround all copies.
Board cutout shapes (e.g rectangles) can make tabbed slots for breakouts.

Board cutout not removed in 3D view?

When creating several cutouts around sides of a board, using combo of overlapping solid circles and solid squares, all were cut in 3D view. However, one complex shaped side would not cut, showing a solid brown PCB area, shaped to the created cutout. I checked layers, re-tried using a simple square a...

Re: Can aSolder mask be edited / trimmed away?

Update: I found what I was doing wrong. Initially, when laying shapes for the mask, I mistakenly thought the pale cyan overlay was the actual shellac mask, so laid squares, circles and polygons to cover the entire board, leaving only the pads 'clear'. After viewing the 3D rendering, I delete...

Re: how to create a picture form a schematic

You can also hit [Printscreen] button on your keyboard, which saves the entire screen to the Clipboard, then open MSpaint and Paste. After which you can optionally crop the image before saving. The downside of this method is a lower resolution as compared to the true saved image. I sometimes use the...

Can aSolder mask be edited / trimmed away?

Hi. When designing a PCB recently, I added a solder mask to the bottom layer, using the circles / squares to surround component pads. Everything seemed fine, until I reviewed the finished board, and noticed that I had misaligned some mask "holes".   However, clicking any point on t...

Re: Pattern views track side or top view?

Thank you. Since posting the question, I experimented and read up more - to view the underside of the PCB in normal, real-world view as if photographing it: [1]: Select the entire board with Ctrl-A [2]: Change views to Bottom or Bottom Assy (or whatever you plan to edit, if any). [3]: View/MIRROR th...
