SC-70 patterns named SOT23
When I set a pattern filter in the Component Editor for "SC-70" I get a total of 9 hits, all of which have "SOT23" at the start of their names. The pattern dimensions seem to be correct, but SOT23 is the wrong name. SOT23 is a bigger footprint, with e.g. 0.95 mm lead pitch instead of the 0.65 of the...

Re: Back annotation defaults marking locations
This problem doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it's a mess. I'm working on just a single sheet schematic right now, and it takes 15-20 minutes to restore the marking locations and orientations when they get clobbered. I pity someone with a big project. I hope you can fix this and issue a...

Re: Text color black issue
This is a problem for me also.
Printing text is also a problem in 4.0.0.2. With the default text font color of Silver, it looks fine on a black screen background but the print is barely readable. It seems like there ought to be a "text" option in View / Colors / Print Colors, but there isn't.

Remember window sizes & positions
It's really annoying to have to resize and position the schematic, layout, component editor, and pattern editor windows every time I start DipTrace. It's a simple thing to remember the last window position & size and I'd sure like to see that.

Re: Interpreting new IPC pattern names
Thank you, Serg. You can search for the manufacturer's package name (the Unique Name) too, which is also nice. Why do the IPC names contain the lead dimensions rather than the pad size, though? Manufacturers give suggested patterns for their parts, not based on lead dimensions, so you can't find a p...

Interpreting new IPC pattern names
The new IPC pattern names and generator in 4.0 is nice to see and looks like a good standardization. When I look at pattern library names though, it's hard to find one that matches the component I'm creating. I can see what some of what the pattern name means, but not all. For example, SOP8P65_300X4...

Re: Back annotation defaults marking locations
Thanks, Alex. I'm not getting notifications of forum responses for some reason so I didn't see yours till now. I don't have before/after schematic or layout files right now but if I see the problem again I'll send them.

Back annotation defaults marking locations
I just did a back annotation in 4.0.0.2 yesterday, and all my careful placement and rotation of part markings in the schematic has been wiped out. Markings are restored to their default positions.

Re: Board Outline gerber in 4.0?
Thanks for the suggestions folks. I'm all good now, but I'll remember the "Convert to Board Outline" for the future. That's a nice trick.
