Re: DipTrace 5.0 beta
The second iteration of the " Via Shielding " tool is very nice. Being able to easily delete the shielding of specific segments of a trace is a time saver. There was one minor error that popped up during a cursory test, so here is a screenshot showing an example... vse1.png For any budding...

Re: How to create custom pad/pour with partial solder mask in specific areas
Your understanding of DipTrace soldermask (inverse) is correct. Try the following procedure to see if it works... Creating the DXF file using a 2D drawing program 1) In the 2D drawing place the pad outline on layer 1 and the soldermask outlines on layer 2 . Make sure all drawing polygons are closed ...

Re: Circular PCB with a Notch Cutout
There are at least two ways you can handle this. Either draw the board outline with a notch using a separate 2D program, save as a DXF file and import it into the Board Outline layer; or make sure the notch is a closed polygon (no gaps) and place it on the Board Cutout layer (not the Board Outline l...

Re: Auto routing a 4 layer pcb
Sorry about not getting back to you. When trying to respond for the last two days, I had been getting an "ERROR 404" screen.

Re: Auto routing a 4 layer pcb
Try running the "Update Layout from Schematic" (By RefDes) tool to see if things clear up.

Re: Auto routing a 4 layer pcb
1) Have actual copper pours been placed on the +5V and GND layers?
2) If so, are they connected to their respective nets?

Re: Grab a 'ratnet' wire anywhere along the wire
Not that I know of. You can add a node ( hover the mouse over the trace and press the " n " key ) and drag it from there, but you won't be able to snap it to a pin. In DipTrace you will have to start routing ( press the tilde " ~ " key ), click on the pin and then click on the ta...
