Re: DRC red circles

Most of the time the board house will trim any silkscreening that conflicts with a solder joint, but it's best practice to do it yourself and not have to rely on them trimming it for you. In the pattern editor there is a tool for trimming the silkscreen away from pads ( main menu > Objects > Remove ...

Re: One schematic divided over two boards?

After typing in the text using the Place Text tool, confirm the entry by pressing the [Esc] key (the flashing text entry cursor should disappear), exit the Place Text tool by pressing the [Esc] key once more (the cross cursor should disappear), select/highlight the new text box (left-click on it onc...

Re: One schematic divided over two boards?

...how is a dashed line made? I believe this is still a feature request?... Yep. Still a long-requested feature not yet implemented. A while back, " Whyrly " suggested a temporary workaround that places a one-line text block of dashes/hyphens (" - " characters) with the desired font/size/spacing/co...

Re: One schematic divided over two boards?

Well, then, put it all on one schematic showing a dashed line between the two different sections of the board(s). In the PCB layout have it manufactured as one board with a V-score between the two sections so it can be broken in two during the assembly process. Then all you would need to do is attac...

Re: One schematic divided over two boards?

From what I can tell from your description, if the two boards are identical there is no need to show both on one schematic. The cable should be considered a separate assembly, even if it is permanently soldered onto the PCB(s) during the assembly process. What you have is an instrument sub-assembly ...

Re: Hot to create footprint for filter mlpf-wb55-01e3?

It looks like you're asking for 0.0001mm accuracy, which DipTrace should be able to handle. Check your settings in the "Precision of Values" dialog window (main menu > View > Precision...).

Re: Custom paste mask setting

As far as positioning, probably not (could be wrong, of course). For size, you could play around with the Custom Paste Mask Shrink setting to see how that goes, but length vs width won't be separable. Otherwise, I guess you will have to change the pad's default Paste setting to " No Solder ", create...

Re: Ratlines say that two pads are not connected, even though they appear to be

...how can I remove the silkscreen pattern for a particular item? Right now the silkscreen from one item is overlapping the pad on another item... There is such a trim feature in the Pattern Editor (main menu: Objects > Remove Silk from Pads... ), but not in the PCB Layout editor. To my knowledge t...
