Re: Price Increase??
Protection costs money and slows down the start-up. I recommend removing it and lowering the cost of your product. Any protection will be broken and then you're stuck paying for something that doesn't work. Far better to make the product better and more affordable then people aren't tempted to stea...

Re: DipTrace 2.9 beta with differential pairs
What amazes me is that people out there are so misinformed and ignorant over the current raft of operating systems. Those who hammer Microsoft are typically Linux abusers who are fed with so much misinformation from their community that they don't even bother getting their facts straight before laun...

Re: Bug in Generating 3D Model
My 2 cents is that it doesn't lock up on my machine no matter when I press enter during the model rendering procedure. Using Windows 7 32 bit.

Re: Support characters used in our field
Agreed. At the very last diptrace could recognise u as microFarad in this context; not many keyboards have a mu key.

Re: Why the scale mis-match?
I feel your pain, which is why I create my own parts and libraries. I know you say you don't want to get involved in making stuff but the alternative is to download other people's libraries and use those, and while there are some amazing libraries out there, this often results in parts that aren't q...

Re: Thermal relief for PowerPAD or MOSFET type components
I have to say there are some very clever diptrace users out there. Well done those who answered this so thoroughly.

Re: Accounting for pins that aren't connected?
With my limited understanding of the software there are a few options as to how I would do what you are wanting to do. First, pins are intended for electrical connections, not structural ones (at least that's how they are designated in the software) but there is no reason you can't include them for ...

Re: Place a pad
Hi Peter When you place a pad, does it look like a rectangular, solid surface-mounting pad rather than a doughnut shaped through-the-hole pad? It might be because you have a surface-mount pattern selected and it is using the default setting for that part. If you choose a through-the-hole component f...

Re: Confused by grid placement in Component Editor
I too struggle with getting pins to align in the schematic view and this annoys the bejingers out of me. While I appreciate this is purely cosmetic and subjective and as such won't matter to all users, I like the components in my schematics to be nicely aligned and to look sharp. To this end I have ...

Re: How To reset all PCB layout settings back to default Val
I have been working with DipTrace now for several weeks and I have made many changes to the router settings. So much so that I now get very wild routings. I would like to set everything back to defaults values before I start to work on a real project. If there is a way to set all values back to the...
