Pin count different between Layout and Schematic
I've a schematic with multiple hierarchical blocks in it, many of them used repeatedly, and when I check the pin count in schematic, I get 256 pins. But when I'm in layout and do the same, I get 391. I not sure where I'm getting an extra 100+ pins unless the schematic doesn't properly count repeated...

Locked components moved by "Renew Design from Schematic"
Using 2.4.0.2 and I've a bug with all of the options in the "Renew Design from Schematic". First, I moved the main schematic from the main sheet to a heirachy sheet, as the main sheet will contain a generic system block diagram which does NOT affect the RefDes of any components (just graph...

"Unroute all" behaviour on static, locked vias in nets
I'm having issues where the "unroute all" function is removing locked, static vias associated with nets. I don't remember doing this in previous versions, so I'm not sure if this is expected behaviour or a bug. I'm using v2.4.0.2, and I'm placing vias in thermal or around RF sensitive area...

Re: No Arc capability for Polygon Pad -- need it for QFN/SON
Except for simple patterns, I've switched to laying out all my patterns in an open source parametric CAD program called SolveSpace. It's a super simple program and if you go through the tutorials, you'll have the basics down in under an hour. There are a couple of gotcha with its DXF exports, so whe...

Re: Exporting text in Board Outline layer fails
Thanks Alex, that works! I just wish it were more obvious, especially that in the export dialog, you have an option to export text for the board outline, leading me to believe that something was broken.

Re: Footprint with solder mask
I really hope so! I just got bit by this again just a couple of minutes ago. I'd updated a pattern and I forgot to go through the Component Editor -> Schematic -> PCB dance to update it. What a royal pain in the ass it is...

Exporting text in Board Outline layer fails
I'm following the OshPark guidelines for labeling internal cutouts (http://support.oshpark.com/support/solutions/articles/134889-internal-cutouts-and) in the board outline layer. Unforunately I cannot get the text exported into the gerber. I've checked this in both the DT export preview as well as G...

Re: Issues again with DXF pattern import
Thanks, Alex, that works great... Any reason why importing into the logical layer (top pads) doesn't work? I mean, I'm happy it works, but it's not an obvious way to go about it.
Thanks,
Z

Issues again with DXF pattern import
I'm attempting to import the footprint for a Cree XTE led from a DXF I've created. (http://www.cree.com/~/media/Files/Cree/LED%20Components%20and%20Modules/XLamp/Data%20and%20Binning/XLampXTE.pdf) It imports fine, but it recognizes the pattern as 20 pads instead of 3! I've tried all combinations of ...
