Re: Rotating components Text Upside Down

This has also made its way into the schematic layout too. If you rotate a netport the voltage is left upside down. On the left is a rotated netport with upside down text. On the right is a unrotated netport. Diptrace, please please please go back to the way this was for both PCB and schematic. netpo...

Re: DipTrace 4.0 beta
Many customers asked for rotating with component as part of component, so we did that. We can add an option to keep marking orientation though (not in 4.0 release as it is not a small fix in frame of new marking system). Any comments from community?
In my opinion, it is always good...

Top Paste in 4.0

It's awesome that top-paste can be viewed now in PCB. I can see the outline of paste, but I can only see the full paste if I turn the layers off otherwise just the empty rectangle. What most gerber viewers do is draw the paste as solid rectangle instead of just a rectangular outline. Is there a way ...

EAcessViolation

Out of the blue I've just started getting EAccessViolation errors on 3.2 (or whatever was out in early 2018). So, I took that as an opportunity to uninstall and install 3.3. But the problem persists. This is Win10. I've uninstalled and re-installed. I've rebooted. The launcher works, but whether I u...

Re: Problem renaming net port

I just encountered this, and it's a difficult problem to track down. For future reference (especially my own), here's what seems to cause this error: Netports must have the same NAME and PIN NAME to be connected. If netports share a name BUT the pin names on netports (with the same are different), t...

Length matching in 3.1...nice work

I wanted to say "thanks" for the length table and meander feature. This is very well thought out and works well. I finished a ddr3 board this week and it was really, really nice to use. Thanks for the feature.

Custom paste generation

I cannot cause paste that I described in the pattern editor to appear in the gerber output. Prior to 3.2.0.1 you would turn off paste for a given pad and if that was done, then the user-specified paste shapes would be emitted in the gerber. How can I make this work in the 3.2.0.1 release? Thanks

Re: Thermal Via Selection in 3.2.0.1

Studying a bit more, the issue seems to be with static vias.

Thermal Via Selection in 3.2.0.1

Thermal vias placed in a pad cannot be selected when the "display and selection" has "pads" unchecked but "vias" checked. Vias outside of of the part envelope can be selected, however. It appears that once "pads" is unchecked, then anything within that pad or part envelope is ignored. The expected b...
