Hello team Novarm,
I have some issues with copper pours in the layout program. I'm using DipTrace 2.2.0.9 with build date 23 Dec 2011.
1) There does not seem to be an option to turn on some kind of auto update of copper pours. This is needed when changing routing layers in manual routing, whereby a via is being auto created that pierces one or more copper pours. I always have to manually update each concerned copper pour whenever a via was made, which is very annoying.
2) Furthermore, if I assign a copper pour e.g. to net GND and then route a part's pin to that copper pour, then the "Check Net Connectivity" function does not realize that there *was* a connection made. This doesn't make sense, does it? I'm making a pretty complex design right now and I had to check each and every one of the connections manually to find out that this function seems to be kind of broken or at least incomplete. What do you think?
Apart from that, I'm very happy using your software on a daily basis. I'm looking forward to your answer
Thanks PCBee
