I have found the DipTrace demo very interesting. I am thinking of starting up a part-time design bureau using this software and was wondering if anyone is already doing this. I would like to know if anyone is using the software in this capacity and if you have run into any issues. I have over 20 years of PC and mechanical design and this is one of the best priced software packages I have seen. It is also very user friendly. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

I made a lot of experience in mechanical and electrical design in the electronic industry (automotive, air, industrial, medical).
I used until today: Mentor Graphics Expedition, Mentor Graphics PADS, Altium, Orcad, Eagle and Target.

I started to test DipTrace at the begin of this year and now I am 100% sure that I will use this software. I am still missing couple functions, but I know DipTrace Team is working on this functions.

Based on my experience you pay for that kind of functionality more than 6000$ (plus 1000$ maintain fee every year). Plus I never met such user friendly software interface.
