Hey Guys,

I am testing DipTrace with a "big" design. I don't have a complicated schematic. But I have big patterns (qty. in total 355). The schematic is at the moment 33MB. So far works everything well, but I have some issues.
1. The schematic stops accepting the changes all the time, so that is not possible to save the schematic and I can't close the software anymore. So I have to open the Task Manager and Force the closing of DipTrace schematic. To make sure that the schematic change was accepted, I need to push the save button every time :( after an action in schematic editor.
2. Almost every action is taking at least one second until I can start an other action

So far all other stuff is looking great.

Stefan

It should be huge design if it is 33Mb at the moment. Please send it to support at diptrace dot com and we will test the software with that file.
Please make sure that you turned on DirectX or OpenGL graphics modes in Schematic. If you have WindowsGDI, it works really slower on large designs.
It is also recommended to divide large schematic into several smaller sheets to increase speed in Schematic.

Hello Stefan,

Thank you for the file.
There were a lot of "dead" shapes in the file. They probably appeared when you import this design (or libraries) from other software. We removed these shapes, the file is smaller now and it should work correctly.
By the way, what software did you import the components from?

Hey Alex,

I imported the DXF files from SolidWorks. I hided everything I didn't need. I assume it was still imported!?

I assume I will have this problems with all my projects where I will use this components! How I can clean up this LIB and projects?

Thanks for all. You guys have a great product.

Hello Stefan,

You can import all objects from DXF file, then delete unnecessary ones. This way you can get correct patterns (without "dead" shapes) from DXF files.

We will try to fix the issue in future versions. Thank you for the help.
