Convert to PCB

#1 Post by orb » 16 Mar 2012, 06:00

HI All,

Another noob question for you guys...

When drawing up a schematic, I spend some time making sure that my circuit is correct, and that it has no errors. Then once I'm happy I hit the 'convert to pcb' button. When I do this I'm real disappointed that I often get a message like this...

Am I doing something wrong when designing my circuits guys?

Many Thanks for your help

That's just a warning that you don't have patterns associated with those parts on your schematic, and the PCB layout needs those. You just need to assign Patterns to those components is all.

In the Schematic editor, right click on your component and goto Properties. Then click Attached Pattern and you'll be able to setup and select the Pattern for the component there. Then when you go to convert it to the PCB layout it will not give you that warning message.

There is "Displays" library with various displays. If you setup standard libraries correctly, you can scroll library bar and find this library there.
