Hi,
I am trying to change a number of identical symbols for capacitors in the Components Editor.
Although I can do it by deleting the next symbol and then copy and pasting across the contents
of layers 0 and 1 individually, it is taking some time. There must be a quicker/easier way.

T.I.A.

Hi Stewart,

Do you want to replace symbol for similar components? You can select a symbol (Ctrl+A), copy it (Ctrl+C), switch to other component, delete symbol (Ctrl+A, then Del) and paste symbol from clipboard (Ctrl+V).

Hi Alex,
Unfortunately that method copies all of the symbol parts into layer 0.
I wanted to keep the layers separate, as per the original symbol.

Happy New Year

Ok, I see what you need. You can try to duplicate component (right click on item in list of components and selects "Duplicate Component" from submenu), then attach different pattern (if two components should have different patterns) and rename copied component.
