Most of my customers use either Orcad or Protel, and so far there is no easy way to exchange schematics with these applications. I really hope to see a better import/export functionality, at least with one of them.

Import/export schematics from OrCAD is in our plans. Design exchange with Protel is possible via PCAD ASCII, if it doesn't work for some reason, please send files to support@diptrace.com

Are there any plans (and if so, how soon) to be able to import and maybe export OrCad schematics. I am currently trying to move my engineers (and myself) over to Diptrace due to its ease of use and lower cost.
Thanks in advance.

We plan to be able to import Orcad schematics in future. But I don't know when it may be implemented.

We have not implemented the feature yet. But it is in our schedule after releasing Mac version 2.2 and developing STEP format for 3D.

If I could import Orcad schems I would buy the software today. Instead of saying you're gonna do something. Just do it. Its very valuable

STEP export is almost completed. OrCAD Import in on the way - this is our next feature in import/export to-do after STEP.

Any word on a release date for an OrCAD import version? This is pretty much the only thing keeping me from purchasing...
