BOM Export

#1 Post by NetlistDan » 11 Mar 2016, 17:00

Hello Group. I just found DipTrace yesterday and have been very excited over its capabilities. I started a PCB Design business a year ago using Eagle and am looking at moving into a more efficient EDA CAD. Going through the video tour I didn't see any mention of exporting a BOM. Is there information on how to do that in DipTrace? And what options are there for setting up the BOM format? Thanks in advanced.

Create Bill of Materials dialog window (Schematic Editor)
1) Go to the Main Menu and select Objects, then click on Bill of Materials... in the drop-down menu.

Bill Of Materials help (Schematic Editor)
1) Go to the Main Menu and click on Help, then select Schematic Help in the drop-down menu.
2) In the Schematic Help window select the Contents tab and navigate through [+]Schematic and [+]Objects and, finally, [?]Bill of materials.

Bill Of Materials tutorial
1) Go to the Main Menu and click on Help, then select DipTrace Tutorial in the drop-down menu.
2) When the tutorial launches, select [+]Using different package features and then Bill of Materials (BOM).
