Hi Alex,

Am I allowed to have Diptrace installed on 2 laptops? I have the standard 1000 pin license. I have a new laptop, and would like to install the latest version on it, but still keep version 2.2.0.0 on the old laptop.

Thanks
John

Hi John,
Yes, you can install DipTrace on both laptops, but only one copy of the software should be running at a time.

I must give some credit to DipTrace for this. I have been using this software for a few years now and one of the key factors was the ability to have one copy on my stationary and one on my laptop. After a polite e-mail describing that I would like to be able to use a copy with same license number as my stationary on my laptop for client input while on visits there was no arguing and Diptrace fully understood what I meant. This is superb and one of the reasons to my purchase of the unlimited version.

Hi Alex,
i'm new in this forum.
I must change my PCB design software, now i'm using Omniglyph.
I need a three user full license from my job and an other restricted to use at home.
I see that license are not time limited, it means that i can upgrade Diptrace for ever?
If i buy a restricted license as like standard, can i upgrade it, if i need to extended or full version?
Thank you
Silvio

Hi Silvio,
License is not limited in time. All minor upgrades from current version 2.3 to future 2.x version are free, future upgrades from 2.x to 3.x costs 25% of license price.
If you purchase standard or other non-full license, you can always upgrade to higher license by paying price difference only.
