I believe I have come across a bug regarding line width in Schematic and/or in Component Editor. This is what is happening.
1. In Sch I use the black color scheme and I have changed the line width for Wire to 15 mil.
2. In CE I noticed that I was not able to set a default line width. After startup it is always at 9.843 mil.
3. Coincidently I changed Sch to the white color scheme and noticed that the line width for Wire had changed from 15 to 9.843, the same as it is by default in CE. CE does not follow the color scheme change.
3. With Sch still in the white color scheme I changed line width again to 15. No change in CE. Still 9.843.
4. Changed Sch back to the black scheme again. Line width for Wire was now 3.937 mil (was set to 15 in step 1).
5. If I now change to the white scheme then the line width for Wire has changed again to 9.843.
6. Ans so on.

It seems that the line width for Wire setting in Sch is not consistent across color scheme changes and the default line width in CE is always 9.843.

Please have a look at this. If more information is required or an experiment to be done please let me know.

You change width of connection lines (wires). But line width for shapes in Schematic and Component editor comes from "Objects/ Drawing Properties/ Line Width".

Which is set to 15 mil. But when I draw a line in CE, line width is 9.843.

Indeed, it is always 0.25 mm (9.843 mils). But I don't see big problem in that. Most components use standard line width. If you want, you can change width from line submenu.

So it seems that the default line width in Component Editor is 9.843 mil by design and cannot be set to a different default value. It would be nice have the option but I agree, it is not a big deal.
