The update component button in the properties windows in the schematic editor does not update the component from the library. I am using the 64 bit version.

Please open component properties and check library path. Make sure that there is the library at this path and a component with the same type exists in that library.

The library path is pointed to an old library in c:\program files. I replaced the part previously, and the library link apparently did not update with the replacement.

In that case, just edit path to the new library in component properties.

Ok, so its not a bug, but its these little details that make the difference between a program that is easy to use or not. I have a schematic with 500 components, and what good is using a replace if I have to hand edit each one? After 1000+ hours using diptrace, why not consider some of these details for updates?
