I was looking at a 12 layer board by Lime Micro (LimeSDR people) and talked them into exporting ASCII but run into a problem:
The first three schematic drawings open and import with just an empty title block.
01_BlockDiagram_ASCII.SchDoc
02_PowerDiagram_ASCII.SchDoc
03_ClockDiagram_ASCII.SchDoc
Sheets 04~11 were ok.
12_USB3_0_device_ASCII.SchDoc binary
13_USB3_0_power_ASCII.SchDoc binary
tells me it is not an Altium ASCII - I confirmed they were not.
sheets 14 and 15 are good. on the PCB import they appear to be good.
Original Altium files: https://github.com/myriadrf/LimeSDR-USB
Crowdsupply launch: https://www.crowdsupply.com/lime-micro/limesdr
I'll ask for another try on sheet 12 and 13 as well as PDF of the Schematics, does Altium do PDF?
This is an Open Source Project.
I believe the 12 layer RF board is worth the $300 just as a study aid!
Update: Found that Altium does not do PDF, the library is P-CAD V16 PCB Library (*.lia) format (ascii)
Import Altuim ASCII

Re: Import Altuim ASCII
Shapes and pictures from Altium Schematic ASCII files are ignored. Therefore imported sheets 1-3 are empty.
Files 12 and 13 are binary. They need to be converted to ASCII format.

Re: Import Altuim ASCII
Here are the new files all corrected and the library: LimeMicroAltiumLib_pcbLib_PCADv16.LIAAlex wrote:Shapes and pictures from Altium Schematic ASCII files are ignored. Therefore imported sheets 1-3 are empty.

But trying to get the lib imported failed.
