I love the dimension tool and find myself using it frequently. I have one item on the "wish list".

I have found myself wanting to move an item exactly x.xxx inches from a different item. Right now, I can go to the properties of the first item, then go to the properties of the second and do the arithmetic (not terrible if moving vertical or horizontal) and set the properties of the second to the location I want. Or I can change the gid and try and drag it to the correct location (not always easy to do).

I would like to attach a dimension between the two items and change the properties of the dimension to x.xxx and let it move the items.
