Hi,

There ist a "Center Symbol" command in Edit Menu, but unfortunately no "Center Selection". When I copy/paste a symbol for example an OpAmp in two steps (to prevent the virtual Layers (0, 1) for later editing) to another (new added) part sheet, I twice have to recenter the pasted parts (pins and shapes). Unfortunately it doesn't help to lock the first pasted (and centured) part from (miss-)centering a second time, so the whole symbol gets out of centuring and the job has to be done moving the shapes by hand.

How about adding a new menu command "Center Selection"?

Also think about to display a pasted symbol (or a part of it) to another part sheet at the same position as the part were it was copied from.

regards

Instead of copy/pasting a symbol, you can duplicate it (right click on a symbol in the list and select "Duplicate Component"). It creates full copy of the component and it's centered, of course. Thus "Center Selection" isn't necessary anymore.

Yes I know this ("Duplicate Component") and it's a very useful command. But if I make some changes on the duplicated Symbol @ Part 1 and then want to duplicate it to Part 2,3,4 etc. the centuring ist an issue because of the virtual Layers (I like to prevent them and thus have to copy a part by pins an shapes one after another (then the centuring becomes an issue)).

Ok, it's a minor point so don't bother ignoring this. There are of course more major issues to improve this really good working program.

;)
