Here are some suggestions for improving the drawing tools to make them more intuitive and easier to control. These examples apply to the PCB Layout editor, but should also be adapted for use in the other DipTrace editors.

Line
After the second mouse click, a Line Properties dialog window should pop-up to allow more accurate control of the shape and provide additional features and settings...

Polyline
After the final point has been placed using the [Enter] key, a Polyline Properties dialog window should pop-up to allow more accurate control of the shape and provide additional features and settings...

Polygon
After the final point has been placed with the mouse or [Enter] key, a Polygon Properties dialog window should pop-up to allow more accurate control of the shape and provide additional features and settings...

Rectangle
After the second corner has been placed, a Rectangle Properties dialog window should pop-up to allow more accurate control of the shape and provide additional features and settings...

Arc
The first mouse click should set the location of one end of the arc, the second mouse click should set the location of other end of the arc, and the third mouse click should determine its radius. After the third mouse click, an Arc Properties dialog window should pop-up to allow more accurate control of the shape and provide additional features and settings.

Elipse
After the third mouse click, an Elipse Properties dialog window should pop-up to allow more accurate control of the shape and provide additional features and settings...

Circle
Add a circle drawing tool. The first mouse click should set the location of the circle's center point, and the second mouse click should determine its radius. After the second mouse click, a Circle Properties dialog window should pop-up to allow more accurate control of the shape and provide additional features and settings.

Note: All filled shapes should be eliminated from the shapes drop-down menu as this option will be controlled by settings in each shape's Properties dialog window. Below are examples of the suggested shapes drop-down menu and Properties dialog windows...
