I gather some people like the zoom direction the way it is. I've never encountered a zoom going this way before. Very disorienting. Would love an option to flip the direction.

Thanks,
Evan

Hi Evan,
Most PCB design tools, CADs and other software (office, browsers, etc.) work in the same way. Opposite direction is non-standard.

An option to flip it would be nice. Is that a possibility?

We don't plan to do it. But if a lot of users would like to add this option, we will consider this.

Hmm, I wonder if I've struck a compatibility issue here. I'm using Diptrace on Wine. Everything seems to work out of the box but given I don't have a Windoze computer to compare with I wouldn't know when something isn't quite right.

I should have described the zoom effect I guess - When rolling back on the wheel I'd expect to be zooming in to the document, like when grabbing the image and dragging it down to view further up the document, but instead the document zooms away.

Is that the way Diptrace is programmed or is my setup screwing with the mouse wheel?

It's working as intended, imagine the wheel pulling your eye away instead, rolling up moves your eye closer ...

Thanks for the quick reply. I'd definitely like an option to switch that around.
